Gus is an Associate in Cowell Clarke’s Employment and Workplace Relations team.
Gus is an experienced employment lawyer with a strong background in advising employers on all aspects of workplace law. Having previously practised in New Zealand, Gus assists clients with a wide range of matters, such as employment contract reviews, workplace investigations, modern award compliance, and dispute resolution. He takes a practical, solutions-focused approach to deliver clear, commercially sound advice.
Prior to relocating to Australia, Gus practised at a full-service law firm in New Zealand, where he specialised in employment law and regularly advised businesses on a wide breadth of employment related matters. He is passionate about helping businesses navigate compliance obligations while fostering positive workplace cultures.

Assisted in settling general protections claim in proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia.
Assisted in advising a client on a large-scale project involving modern award compliance.
Drafted and reviewed employment contracts for clients ensuring compliance with Australian employment law.
Provided advice on termination of employment and redundancy processes for a client going through a restructure.
Supported clients through general protections claims in the Fair Work Commission and proceedings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
