In the construction industry, in-house counsel, project managers, procurement professionals, superintendents, engineers and architects are asked to draft, negotiate and administer increasingly complex construction contracts.
Over 11 seminars, this course will provide a comprehensive explanation of the core principles relating to construction contract drafting, interpretation and administration.
The course is suitable to new and experienced professionals alike as it will address the fundamental legal and practical issues that arise in all procurement models, as well as providing a guide to the way courts approach issues of contract interpretation.
Whether you’re starting out in the industry and want to better understand the contracts you use on a day to day basis, or you’re an experienced construction professional who wants to refresh and complete your understanding, this series is for you.
Each session will involve the presentation of a paper on a topic which underpins construction contracts.
Participants are free to attend the topics that they find relevant.
You can attend in person or online. A nominal fee will be applied to cover costs and catering. A light lunch will be served for those attending.
Please feel free to share this invitation with your colleagues.
This series is presented by Jamie Watts, Director, Building, Amanda Brady, Associate Director, and Matthew Hawke, Associate Director in the Building, Construction & Infrastructure team at Cowell Clarke.
