Mario Pegoli

Mario is a member of Cowell Clarke’s Corporate & Commercial Team and has experience advising on acquisitions, divestments, restructures, funding and structuring arrangements including acquisition finance and subordinated lending and structures which support affordable housing initiatives.

Mario previously worked for a leading asset management firm in London, gaining global commercial capital market experience. He has experience in origination and syndication of investment grade and sub-investment grade international transactions, including complex capital structure refinancing. 

With a degree in Law, Business Banking & Finance, MBA and Master of Laws and experience working for a leading asset management firm in London, Mario understands the importance of a Company reviewing its business strategy, funding arrangements and capital structure. Mario has developed a keen interest in understanding the opportunity that restructuring can provide and an appreciation on how different funding structures appeal to different types of investors.

Working with world-leading investment banks, Mario was involved with some of the most significant and complex transactions, including the $33 billion HCA transaction and the £8.97 billion BAA airport transaction. This demonstrates his ability to balance financial and non-financial risks and manage complex negotiations.
