James Flight

James Flight is a Senior Associate in Cowell Clarke’s Property team.

James is an experienced property lawyer who has assisted a range of clients, including private clients, developers, listed companies and local authorities, on a number of property related matters.

James regularly advises on residential and commercial real estate acquisitions and disposals, commercial leasing matters for both landlords and tenants, due diligence reviews, and a broad range of other land transactions and commercial contract matters.

Prior to joining Cowell Clarke, James worked as a lawyer in New Zealand where he specialised in property transactions.

Experience

Leasing:

• Negotiating a new lease and fit out agreement for an investment management firm in the Sydney CBD.

• Acting for a landlord on preparing the leases for its multi-tenanted office building.

Sale and purchase:

• Advising a luxury apartment developer on the purchase of several neighbouring properties in Mosman.

• Advising the owners on a collective sale of residential property in Northbridge to a developer.

• Acting for both purchasers and vendors on the acquisition of commercial real estate throughout Sydney.

• Acting for developers on the sale of off the plan commercial properties throughout New South Wales.

• Preparing and negotiating reciprocal airspace licences for the operation of cranes over adjoining developments.
