Emily Gray is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Employment and Workplace Relations team and provides advice on all aspects of the employment relationship.
Emily’s double degree in Law and Commerce (Accounting) uniquely supports her expertise in the area of payroll compliance. In particular, Emily is an instrumental member of the firm’s RemCheck team and has managed significant payment compliance review projects.
Emily provides advice to clients across all industries (including aged care, social and community services, healthcare, retail and manufacturing) in relation to their obligations under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and applicable industrial instruments in order to identify non-compliance and calculate potential underpayments of wages. As part of this work, Emily regularly represents clients in matters involving the Fair Work Ombudsman.
Emily also works on a broad range of employment matters, and has particular interests in employment contracts, complex remuneration and incentive arrangements, workplace policies, terminations, post-employment restraints, consultancy agreements and enterprise agreement bargaining. She also regularly undertakes employment due diligence in corporate transactions.
