Cowell Clarke's Further Response to COVID-19

For the past several weeks, Cowell Clarke has remained fully operational in the COVID-19 situation. Our agility and use of technology meant that we were quickly able to observe Government protocols and have some staff on premises and others working from home. All of our staff were able to work very effectively and we trust that our clients have not experienced any reduction in the level of service delivered during this time.

We are now in a position to advise you that, in light of the most recent Government advice, our offices will be open and fully operational from Monday 25 May 2020.

As always, the safety of our clients and staff is our top priority. To this end we have ensured appropriate social distancing and hygiene procedures are in place throughout our office including reception areas and meeting rooms.

We would ask that if you feel unwell that you refrain from attending our offices. In this event we will be able to meet with you via telephone or video conferencing, as we have been successfully doing with clients over the preceding weeks. Of course there is no obligation on you to attend in person.

COVID-19 has changed the way we live and work and brought multiple challenges to businesses and commercial entities. As a result, there have been numerous amendments to State and Commonwealth legislation with far reaching consequences. While many of these have been related to employment and property, they have also had an impact on corporate, commercial and taxation matters.

Our expertise across corporate and commercial law has allowed us to provide guidance and offer solutions to a range of unforeseen issues that have affected our clients. As the situation evolves in the coming months, we will continue to provide the best possible strategies and advice for navigating the changing commercial landscape and enable you to emerge in a position of strength.
