Megan Jongebloed Re-Appointed as Chair of Cowell Clarke

Cowell Clarke is pleased to announce the re-appointment of Megan Jongebloed as Chair of the firm for a further three-year term, effective 26 May.

Megan’s re-appointment follows a successful first term as Chair, during which the firm has continued its national growth while remaining firmly focused on its people, culture and client relationships.

Having joined Cowell Clarke as an Associate in 2008, Megan has played a significant role in the firm’s evolution over more than 18 years, progressing from Director, to Staff Director, and then Chair in 2023. Her leadership has been defined by a strong commitment to people, collaboration and building trusted long-term relationships with clients.

Alongside her responsibilities as Chair, Megan will continue as a Director in Cowell Clarke’s Corporate and Commercial team, where she advises private and listed companies, start-ups, not-for-profit organisations, and clients in the aged care and retirement living sectors.

Megan was recently recognised as a leading practitioner in Corporate, Aged Care and Health Law, reflecting her strong reputation within the corporate, health and aged care sectors.

Cowell Clarke Chief Executive Officer Rob Comazzetto said Megan’s re-appointment reflects the confidence and respect she has earned across the firm and broader business community.

“Megan leads with authenticity, integrity and a genuine commitment to people,” Mr Comazzetto said.

“She has a remarkable ability to build strong and lasting relationships — both within our firm and with our clients — and that has been instrumental to Cowell Clarke’s growth and success.”

“Clients value Megan not only for her commercial insight, but for the way she listens, understands their challenges and works alongside them as a trusted adviser.”

“As we continue to grow nationally, maintaining our culture and staying connected to our clients has never been more important, and Megan brings that focus to everything she does.”

Megan said her connection to the firm and its people had remained a driving force throughout her career.

“Since I first joined Cowell Clarke, I have always felt encouraged and supported in my professional development,” Ms Jongebloed said.

“What makes Cowell Clarke special is our people and the relationships we build over time — with each other and with our clients.”

“Our clients trust us to support them through important moments in their businesses and lives, and that responsibility is something we never take for granted.”

“I’m proud of what we’ve built together as a firm and excited about the opportunities ahead as we continue to grow while staying true to who we are.”

Cowell Clarke continues to invest in its people, client relationships and national growth strategy, with a strong focus on delivering commercially-focused legal services and creating an environment where individuals and teams can thrive.
