The Liquor Licensing Portal is about to go live – Are you ready?

The much anticipated CBS online liquor portal will go live on 1 July 2019.

The portal will allow all licensees and/or their legal representatives to access their current licence and a draft proposed licence which is set to come into effect in November, and to take steps to transition to the new licence.

The transition process will allow the licensee or its legal representative to actively step through and consider the conditions of the new licence including licence type, capacity, trading hours, and other conditions. It will also produce an estimate of the new licence fee.

Once commenced, only one party can undertake the transition process, so it is essential to seek legal advice if you are unsure as to the suitability of the new licence type or the new fees associated with capacities and trading hours.

To access the portal, an email with registration details will be sent to the designated email for each licence. If you have not previously provided CBS with an email address for each licence you hold, you will need to do so immediately.

By way of a separate communication, CBS will provide a 5 digit linking pin number which will allow licenses or representatives to link each licence to a user account.

Access should be available from 1 July 2019 for most users, however a staggered approach is set to be employed to avoid any system overloads. If you cannot get access by 5 July 2019, please contact CBS.

If licence holders have any queries with the proposed new license conditions or licence types, or any other matters relating to their liquor licence, please contact Sam McGrath or Amanda Brady by clicking here - contact us.
