About the roleWe’re seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our Property team in Sydney, working with our Real Property Director and Associate Director. This role will see you advising developer clients on a broad range of complex property matters, including:
Property acquisitions and disposals for developer clients
Off the plan sales, consolidations and managing associated project work
Leasing and other ad hoc property matters
Strata apartment and office warehouse projects
Financing and lending transactions connected with acquisitions and development deals.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have minimum 5 years PQE and demonstrable experience in property law, ideally though not necessarily advising developer clients. In addition, you will be/have:
Proven experience managing acquisitions, disposals, and off the plan projects
Confidence in advising on strata and consolidation work
Skilled in drafting and negotiating option deeds, sale contracts, and other property-related agreements, with a strong understanding of transaction structuring.
A practical, commercial mindset with excellent client relationship skills, and the ability to manage transactions from start to finish with minimal supervision.
A collaborative approach to working with a team and with clients
Ability to supervise more junior lawyers.
The key things we are after are several years consistent direct real property law experience and real property transaction experience.
